Oh, is that what you think I'm doing Uncle Bob. I only ask members to keep politics on this forum to a minimum & not turn it to a full blown political war, but I see that's not good enough for you. I didn't come on here to debate it with you Uncle Bob, I simply asked for people to respect the wishes of management. You wish to discuss heavy politics, (like religion) then discuss them elsewhere.
Cheers Kon.

Thanks kon,it certainly is a fine line between pleasure and pain, especially in this current climate.
unfortunately it's like a whirlpool and we tend to get sucked into it ,like it or not. I've been dog paddling dam hard not to get sucked right down to the bottom.
In saying that there is a very interesting article on page 32 of today's AGE newspaper, worth a look to see what we might be up against.
As I'm fairly new to this forum I'm always happy to be guided by your experience in forum etiquette

Ok Kon, moredeep and wombat.
Let's not talk about these issues.
Let them just take away our freedoms.
Let them just run all over us.
The rallies these days aren't what they used to be.
It's a great time to get together, have a coffee and talk about things. Have another coffee or brunch, talk some more (moredeep) go have a dig (Wombat) feel good about yourself (Kon) and then all goes back to normal.
Well, in the meantime, nothing's been done.
Times have changed.
Then there will be no prospecting, fossicking, bush users groups, no detector shops, no more forum.
Only memories of the past.

Consistent with the policy of self determination the Bill does not specify who Treaty is with or what it will be about
. Rather it requires an independent Aboriginal Representative Body and the Victorian Government to work

to facilitate future treaty negotiations.

Hi uncle Bob,I'm not sure what you want us to do at these rallies?,would you like a full blown riot, lets attack the police or something?let off some sparklers??
All I can do is attend these rallies and support the cause.
I have written a 3 page letter to the premier, environmental minister and local member.
I will be meeting with the local member soon to discuss my concerns.
Not sure what the rest of you are doing but I feel I'm doing my bit ,if that's not good enough, well I'm sorry.
p.s if you have any suggestions what I should be doing feel free to advise NICELY

Moredeep.
All in saying is that we are barking up the wrong tree.
We need to tackle the politicians to get rid of the United Nations membership, this is the cause of all this.
Having rallies and telling them to leave the forests alone will not do it.

The Agenda 21 program is a guide to achieving the UN's version of politically controlled ecological sustainability. Legally, Agenda 21 is implemented in Australia under the 1992 Intergovernmental Agreement on the Environment and the National Strategy for Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD).

Basically, this is a guise to make it sound so good.
The real agenda is.......... """CONTROL THE PEOPLE"""

Re: * BUSH USER GROUPS UNITED * Come on one and all and support this Facebook Group of Bush Users concerned about pending changes **
So what exactly do you suggest all concerned bush users do, apart from follow the recommendations of the PMAV Uncle Bob? Tackle the politicians in what way, through a game of gridiron in order to get our message through? Is there not enough political jargon fed to us mushrooms, through the media on a daily basis, without us quoting or adding on to it? (its sole purpose, of creating division between people, nothing more) Something of which I need not between members on this forum. The PMAV & or similar bodies with the same goal in common, have already outlined/expressed their views, to all concerned, as to what would be the best way of getting our message across/through, to the people who hold the power of change. Is this not enough or should we take up a form of anarchy?
Even though it takes only but one man to make a start towards change, real change can only come to fruition, by having the many (regular bush user or not) united through understanding, not just a handful few expressing/protesting their opinions, to the proposed upcoming bush changes.

Kon, talk to Ollie, the PMAV president.
He has been notified recently on what is really happening.

Moordeep, the Liberal and Labour governments, decided that it was best to keep as much of what is going on with agenda21 agenda2030.Commission for sustainable development, from the Australian people. So if you do not feel that you can be transparent and honest about what is going on.That tells you all you need to know. Why is this information not on the PMAV site ?.The money that goes into the UN agendas each year in Australia is staggering. Maurice Newman is another name to google on the subject. We will not keep access to our bush unless we really understand what we are up against. But as UNCLE BOB said, there real agenda is total control of the people by the 1% elites. Most of our politicians are enabling them.We have been easy pickings for them.

Re: * BUSH USER GROUPS UNITED * Come on one and all and support this Facebook Group of Bush Users concerned about pending changes **
I mentioned an article on page 32 of Tuesday age newspaper 24/7/18,it would have been in the Herald sun paper as well.
Title ,Notice of protection of a specified area ,known as the djab wurrung country around Arrarat ,victoria.
This specified area[15/20 klm in length ] is part of the new western highway?
The federal minister has received this application from the traditional owners, the main reason is the protection of trees.
My first question to any one who can answer this, is,
1,who's paying for this application, there's a very large advertisement [many thousand of dollars I'm guessing in the age news paper and other papers.]
2, who's paying for the barrister representing the case? [Susan Phillips, specialist in native title]this wouldn't be cheap?
The weird and ironic thing is, is this application process funded by tax payers money? or is it being funded privately? I doubt it.
3, Why is the federal government letting this happen just prior to a state Victorian election?
4, If this is funded by the federal government why can't the PMAV GET FUNDING FOR OUR CAMPAIGN against any closures of state forest?
I'm guessing the VEAC and DJA DJA WURRUNG APPLICATIONS are fully funded by the tax payer?
The argument says these trees play a part in the well being of the indigenous people, fair enough, but did they know they existed before the highway went through??
One thing I found extremely abhorrent is the use of scare mongering ,it was stated that destroying these TREES BRINGS BAD FORTUNE,that's full blown psychological blackmail,
it may bring bad fortune to the indigenous person who destroys the tree or to a person who believes in superstition.
Anyway food for thought ,Kon if you deem this too political please advise and I shall remove it.

Re: * BUSH USER GROUPS UNITED * Come on one and all and support this Facebook Group of Bush Users concerned about pending changes **
Hi Moredeep I can a sure you that it is fully funded by the Tax Payer because the Dja Dja Wurrung got a very big grant from the Government in 2013 when they got the rights as the traditional owners of that area. And more when they were asked to look after, in conjunction with Park Victoria, of all those 6, State, National and Regional Parks in Central Victoria and the Triangle. And still more again to look after the Parks when their Draft report gets passed in Sept by the DELWP minister Lily D'Ambrosio. She only has to sign of on it and it becomes law. It does even have to got to Parliament first to get passed. It can be done behind close doors.

She did ounce. The PMAV took her and her Secretary out to Slaty Creek Creswick for the day's prospecting. She said she had a great day and learnt a lot about prospecting. We even put on a BBQ for them both. Now she is possibly going to stab us all in the back.

MacRob We are starting to get a lot of support now from a lot of different bush user groups and individuals. But in saying that, the Melb Rally will tell the story and the show of support. That is why we need everyone there on the day. This Rally could make us or break us. Eyes are on us and our future is in everyone hands. In the Bush User Groups United Face Book page we have now over 7730 members. And there was over 3500 signature submitted to Parliament last week by the member of Ripon.
