I never mentioned anything about assuming that your stupid. But anyway, a very sensitive topic I guess.
Yes... It was all in jest..
We were just mucking about..
As down the page it did state that
Actual real price (once released) will be different from this current advertised price.
I love the Maryborough coiltek store.. All the guys there are great!

Minelab must be laughing at the Chinese hackers at the moment; They must have baited them with the wrong specs

I like this subtle little fraud plot
Quote: The Customs
1. We will declare on the invoice that it’s a gift or write down a lower price there to help you reduce tax.
2. However, you will still need to pay the tax for the products if the customs ask.
Payment

Re: GPZ7000 Price
dont thnk anyone knows the price yet......i doubt it would be near 10 grand, it would be hard to justify. maybe a couple of grand over the 5000 price.

Re: GPZ7000 Price
Perhaps Minelab have not set the price as yet, carefully what you post on the price poll.
I bet 5 years of research and development does not come for free so we can assume at least 10 - 15 % increase on what the 5000 is going for now.
I wonder if they have suitable stock level for expected demand?

Lee that's an actual ML dealer not wanting to be lumbered with a 5k on the shelf.
The 5k was around $9,000 NZ, so if there's a similar 33% difference in Oz, then you fellas will be looking at 9 to $10,000
Minelab prices stink really bad in NZ

The competition???
Before putting your hard earned down you may want to do some due diligence. I was checking out the Prospecting Australia forum when I came across a post that links to this forum: Full credit to the poster!

Re: GPZ7000 Price
Who has a spare $11000 laying about . If that's the price l would have to Sell everything and live in a tent somewhere. Will keep my 5000 and struggle on . I love my 5000 and would personally disappointed in minelab if they put the price out of reach of people who like me who are loyal to there products . I am sure gpz will be awesome and a step up afrom the 5000 but how much time will tell. I would of thought the high 7 or 8s and most would try and buy one but over 10,000 that's around the world trip. Pap

Re: GPZ7000 Price
I can see one particular argument arising in the near future:
RETAILER: "Well now sir, we have two of the best machines in the world right here:" [points to the CTX3030 and the GPZ7000 hanging on a wall]. "This one, called the CTX3030 is the best coin and relic detector in the world. The GPZ7000 right next to it is the BEST gold detector on the world."
CUSTOMER: "They cost the same?"
RETAILER: "One costs $2.7K and the other is....."
CUSTOMER: "B-B-But they look exactly the same."
RETAILER: "Dang!"
_____________________________________________
Anyone else think that the Chinese Counterfeiters will simply buy CTXs and paint em up like GPZs?

G'day Nero, long time no see, you do have a point there, will certainly make sales interesting, the Chinese......well the Chinese will do what the Chinese do best, copy, copy, copy, buyer beware!, if its half as good as they say, few will care what anyone does as long as they get one.

Re: GPZ7000 Price
No offence meant to the many hobbyists here, but if you haven't found enough gold with your 5000 to pay for one of these then you really don't need one. If you've spent enough time on the goldfields then it's pretty easy to pay for this detector.
The gpx5000 will still be being sold as it fills a gap in the market for the keen hobbyist. The gpz7000 is a premium detector with latest technology and it's obvious target market is the serious prospector.
Who really wants every man and his dog wandering around with one of these beasts, I for one am glad to see the price up where it is.

When Marie Antoinette was informed that her loyal subjects, the peasants, haven't got any bread to eat, she replied.... Quote:- "Let them eat cake"
It's nice to know who will stand on others heads just to get their lot.
How does that oath go?
We swear by the Southern Cross to stand
truly by each other and fight to defend our
rights and liberties”

I work hard every day on my own to get the gold I get, don't need to stand on anyone's head. Others inability to find enough is not my problem.
Wtf has the a Eureka oath got to do with this
Even back in the old days 90% failed to find enough gold to live. Did they expect handouts from those who did find gold? Nope, they went and found a different way to make money.
