Is the GPZ7000 the One Empty Is the GPZ7000 the One

G'day All question for all the GPZ 7000 owners. Is it the one and only, does it out perform all others to warrant its $10,000 price tag or is it only just ahead of the GPX 5000 as I can nearly buy two 5000 one for me and one for the son for the price of a 7000 as we are not flush with lots of cash, so would you suggest to buy the 7000 or 5000 as I don't mind watching the son dig while I beep Very Happy we are both Noobs to it so any help would be Great

Cheers Ted

P.S. I do have Minelab GT 16000 don't all laugh at once

Get a SDC 2300 each for both yourself and your boy, you will have a fantastic time and once you've attained enough experience can then migrate across to the GPZ 7000.

Q33 For those that have very little experience the 2300 is the way to go, whilst the 7000 can find small gold in the same size category as the 2300 you will find the 2300 much more user friendly in the beginning while gaining experience.

As Jonathan has pointed out you can buy 2x SDC2300's for less than a GPZ7000 and you will have a lot more fun.

cheers dave

I would agree about what the others are saying about the ease of use of the SDC, I agree that 2 detectors can be purchased for the price of 1 GPZ, but I would have to say get 1 SDC2300 & 1 GPX5000 or GPX4500 I only say get a GPX because I am a big believer in versatility & the GPX will give you this with just a couple of coils & the SDC will get the hard to find stuff
