NO bodies. The teeth would be about 1930 and made out of sovereigns. Unfortunate I did not find them but my wife brother did back in the mid 1980. He got about 300 gold rings before I got there and I found over 50 gold rings myself when I got to the same beach which was hit with large waves due to a hurricane.

Re: Great expectations 2022
The skeeters with so many now stagnant pools of rainwater about, coupled to humid temperatures, are atrocious. Drilling operations commence from the moment one exits their vehicle. They seem to attack the weary prospector/detectorist in squadron form, shrinking ones head to the size of an orange in next to no time. Blood sucking, head shrinking witch doctors I tell ya.

Less it comes down in buckets again any time soon, the grounds in & around gold localities are just starting to dry up.

A trip to Tarnagulla today yielded just under 4 gms.
It was the same area I'd been to many a time but for some reason the old 5000 seemed to be humming nicely.
The hot ground wasn't as bad today and I also managed to snag a bit of rubbish at about 300mm.
The weather was nice and cool with a robust wind which helped keep the mozzies away

Re: Great expectations 2022
I was keen as mustard to get out again after my last effort but the audio gremlins struck again
Several attempts to fix the problem on site failed, so it was out with the buzz box relic detector [ minelab sovereign ] .
To my surprise a fairly pristine 1882 half penny popped up, it was in an amazing condition for something that had been in the ground for 140 years
The other pic is of a popular gully around here ,check out the amount of hard labour these diggers did to remove the rocks out of the creek.[picture below]
A fair bit of high banking activity was noticeable especially after the recent heavy rains.

The Sovereign can still find things in the gold fields; I used mine there in Tarnagulla and elsewhere in the Triangle with some success many many moons ago.
Yeah that coin is in very good nick after such a long time in the ground....They were made from bronze.

These things are continually settling to earth. Be interesting to see if something attaches itself to any of them......Might be waiting a while
I guess I could crawl about on the roof searching all the nooks and crannies with the magnet but I am too lazy to do that. I will just wait for a week or so and see what the magnets have attracted during that time.
