2022 Pilbara trip
Have finally managed to get out again with some good friends from down south who made the trek up north.
Everyone found gold and had a blast out in the scrub for a week and a bit. There were a few long walks for no result but every day ended up round the fire, beer in hand cooking up a storm in the camp ovens. There were roasts, damper, cakes etc that kept the bellies full for another day of detecting.
We camped right on the gold with several bits dug up in and around camp.
Total was 34 grams and 2 nice little speci's. Biggest bit was 7.2 grams with most being sub grammers, but no matter how big or small gold is gold and its always a thrill to see it in the scoop.
We even went all out this year with group t-shirts made up especially for our Pilbara plunder tour. Its a great hobby and the people you meet along the way are sometimes richer gold than the bits dug up.

Sure beats the gloom & doom of staying home in Vic Fredsnugget. Looks like top weather conditions up there.
Nice going. Well done to all of you.

Well done, it looks like that area had been done (chained) before your find.

Sure had been, someone had done a huge amount of chaining, but when one of the girls found a 7.1grammer on a chain line less than an inch down we decided they hadn't done a very good job at all lol. There was one small area that had been gridded(chained both ways) that we picked up almost 10 bits from.
