Great expectations 2022

A nice start to the year, the weather was perfect this evening here in downtown central vic.
A nice cool breeze,no mozzies and no flies:cheers:
Went to a super junky creek and just about every sweep with the 14" screamed trash but I persisted and waited
for the occasional mellow signal.
After a couple of deep targets which turned out to be rubbish I finally pinged this 2 gmer down about 8"

Not much to report at all.
Long hot days followed by storms and flash flooding here in central vic.
It's making detecting a little difficult and we're soon to be hit by a plague of mozzies.
Every gold diggings hole is filled with beautiful black water

That photo looks like a costine that the Chinese have already ravaged that spot. Keep moving.

I pulled about 16 gms from that spot, so they didn't get it all.
From what I've read they were very good at getting gold the others had missed.{pls no derogatory comments about the Chinese miners {I'm getting in first } ]

Nothing like a bit of water to shake things up a bit.
Let it dry for a few days then its a whole new game.

nothing like a flash flood to clear the gullies out too.

Good on ya, moredeep nice going, well done. Any gold found these days, can only be classed as good gold

I got given a VHS vid for the new SD series, I thought 30 bucks was a bit rich back then for 15 minutes.
It must be a collectors item by now? and it's yours for the taking at $29.95, a bargain not to be missed

Some nice finds

Thanks oldfella, the yellow stuff is getting harder to find.
I thought I stumbled onto a long reef of gold down this dirt road in woop woop today, a screaming signal for a couple of hundred of meters.
Alas a strange and bizarre coiled metal pipe,what was doing there is any ones guess,very odd indeed.

It sure is getting harder to find. My last piece was over 2 years ago, but to be fair, Covid and the associated restrictions severely limited detecting time.

Hang in there mate, think positive and you never know you may walk over your next one.

A superb arvo in the bush,I went to a well flogged area because it was close and I was a bit lazy going further a field.
I got a nice little wobbly signal and this little 1.3 gmer was down about 15cm.Half a meter away I dug a 20cm deep target that was junk.
I'm glad I dug this little tiddler first

Hi All,

I have to mention to watch out for them there mossies...i've just been told i have Ross River virus as well as Barmah Forrest virus together...just because of mossies

I reckon i only had two mossy bites...one while havin a beer just on dark the other got into the bedroom one night and was buzzing me before i fell asleep

So don't drink beer and dont sleep are my recommendations .....what do you do

Anyway i thought i ought to mention it so can take care

Sleep is not essential but life wouldn't be worth living without a beer
I hope the ross river doesn't knock you around to much Ron, it can be quite debilitating for some.
It's a case of slapping on the mozzie spray as thick as possible.

Yea cheers Moredeep, sleeps over rated drinks are rotating beer,home brew bourban and cola, white wine and pain killing pills....i'm beginning to rattle

But life goes on and looking forward to my first nugget for the season ...end of April ...ready to send of my 40E and get back into it body allowing

Note;good to read about people such as yourself and Kon still getting decent pickers
