Good frydee found some gold and a bong what more could you want
I didn't find any unusual looking plants in the vicinity and I passed trying some gum leaves in it, I might have ended up like a koala otherwise

A nice catch up with axtyr yesterday yielded 5 tiddlers from an area I thought exhausted and another on the left from the day before.[different spot ]
As always it was nice just being out there

A couple today [bottom 2 0.9gms] and 2 the other day about 1.2gms.
It's great to get out and BLANK out from all the doom and gloom

Went out this arvo to my special place and 2 Utes were in MY spot
I then went around to MY other special place and some other MONGREL [FELLOW PROSPECTOR ] was in that spot-DAMM.
My other option was a well and truly flogggggged spot, low and behold a fine little speci popped up in a small mullock heap at about 10 inches deep -good old fate

Another fine morning and catch up with Axtyr,bob and wayne.
Just when you think a place is about done up pops a little map of Tassie weight 1.6gms.
Axtyr pinged a couple as well.

A nice Arvo chasing the yellow [3 tiddlers] and being chased by the mozzies
They are vicious at the moment and with Japanese encephalitis creeping further south my advice is to slap on as much repellent as possible.
The other specie is from a previous outing, it looks like a conglomerate but I think it's more from an iron stone reef ?
The 3 bits of gold in the specie are all connected [multi meter test] there is a further piece of gold on the back which is separate.

The 5000 seems to be enjoying this cool autumn weather.
It pulled 6 tiddlers at a depth of 100mm - 150 mm today, nice faint little whispers [1.2 gms ] and the weather was great

I'm using the 14 inch coiltek elite macRob, I vary the audio from normal to boost depending on the conditions.
If you can handle audio boost it seems to suck those tiddlers out of the ground.

Thanks for your reply moredeep, I run the 5000 however can't say I have tried boost that often. Will give it a go in future.

Yes Moredeep, I managed 2 small pieces, 0.14 gram each. Unfortunately I just deleted the photos so obviously I didn't find them.
It was a magnificent day.

The last few days have been somewhat challenging.
Several days where the temp just managed to crawl above 10 Celsius combined with sweeping showers and blustery winds, perfect for detecting
I showed some manners and pulled off to the side of the road for an oncoming ute only to find my self a little stuck.
After several attempts I managed an escape, the Ute driver showed some manners also and waited to see if I would get out.

Two copper coins in what appeared to be in untouched red soil at a depth of about 300mm ,dam those old timer got into everything [ got the old ticker going     ]
Unfortunately I dinged the coins as I was not expecting coins at that depth  
And a tiddler too

slim picking's lately, as usual wet soggy ground driving the PI crazy, oh well it keeps me fit digging and filling
0.166 gms today but I did have to fight those rotten mozzie off from getting it, it's the middle of winter don't they get it
And the local indoor spider has taken up residence in a golden position

Things are rather quiet lately, I've been able to get out most days but I think the gold has gone into hibernation
Pinged a couple of tiddlers and what appears to be a gilded part of a buckle, very fancy indeed.

Well done moredeep  Any type/size gold found these days, can only be regarded as good gold
With the amount of rain we're getting, come spring, all plant life & critters like that common house spider, should double in size & quantity.

Thanks kon,I've been putting in about 2 hours in the arvo's lately, it's basically keeping me sane from the world's craziness
Pinged a dark piece of gold today 1.240 gmer and detected a strange little thing as well.
It appeared like a bit of ironstone in colour but was not magnetic so I gave it a tap with the hammer and it split into 2 pieces.
The face of it was very shiny like a mirror, ? a lump of silver ,I don't rightly know.

Pinged a 3.150 gmer today ,I had been up and down this gully for years now and got a nice mellow signal that wouldn't balance out, it was at a depth of about 20 cm.
Pinged a few other bits during the week for a total of 4.230 gms
