I think that was Tanya from the Telecentre at Leonora. Jim
Chris a local aboriginal prospector in town and tanya were going off at the poor Somalians out the front of the pub at about sunset on a Friday night when i was there.
And looking on leases held is a no no. If you are a australian citizen or a permaneant resident or tourist.
But does not apply to displaced people with refugee status. Until they have been processed and are allowed to stay in the country. That is what is being said around the goldfields at the moment. Some sort of legal loophole ( Maybe another pub story)
Yes and back to the BUTT girl she is a tourist attraction in herself up that way.
I keep of thinking of that song in the Seventies from the states. ( I aint gonna bump no more, no big fat woman )

I agree with the unbalanced tunny.
A friend of mine from Victoria has some leases in Halls Creek. These are regularly pillaged by the locals - burnt, graded and bulldozed in his absence.
This is an absolute rubbish post anyway. We are Australians, not Western Australians or Eastern Staters. Over the top nationalism is bad enough, but now we are getting "state-ism" - what a load of crap. I think the argument should be more about locals and "out of towners". Localism - yeah, I like the sound of that.
Jigalong.

Wow State wars
As a proud WA import from Vic (13 years now in WA), Birdman I can understand your anguish, but you have gone about it the wrong way. Don't make it a State war; you need to get Australia on side. Divide and concur will not win this war!
Some things for us all to think about
1. How do you know it was an Eastern stater and how do you know this gold came from your lease?
2. Did the person have a 20A?
2. From my limited experience claims are poorly marked. If it costs a lot of money to have a claim, make it show.
3. As stayyerAU pointed out, it is about respect. Prospectors need to do research if they want to find gold. I am sure if they can do research on where to find gold they can also do research on how to use Tengraph. There is no excuse nowadays with real time mapping. You can download tengraph into Oxiexplorer and have real time mapping showing you out in the field if you are about to walk onto someone’s lease, but then you have to want to know that information and 95% of people don’t want to know.
4. The people I have contacted who own leases have let me on and thanked me for taking the time to talk to them. With one (mining company) I had to fill out an agreement with them, but that is Ok, at least I can prospect over the lease and feel good about doing the right thing.
One thing I know for sure, the more people that do the wrong thing the harder it gets for all of us. Governments, Greenie DO gooders, lease holders all talk. Eventually we all get locked out because of the minority, this goes for prospecting, 4wding, motorcycling.
If we stick together as one, do the right thing by all. Our hobby should live a lot longer.
Cheers to that Yt2...
