Re-Dalesford Gold Areas
Hi Dream Gold I think Doug Stone has recently published maps of those areas, Outdoor Press Maps they have red covers, you should be able to get them from detecting and prospecting shops some news agents have them also I think. Hope this helps.
Cheers
Mike.

Re: Dalesford gold areas
Looks like lots of areas you can go.
I often use Geovic, http://mapshare2.dse.vic.gov.au/MapShare2EXT/imf.jsp?site=geovic
Zoom into say Hepburn area
Click Layers>Minerals>Mines and Minerals etc
Click Deep leads
Click Operating Gold Mines (to see you arent on a gold mine's area)
Click Land Status?Crown land to see where you can (maybe) go
Click refresh map
I often click Topog>Watercourses for panning spots
Click Legend to see what is what
You can make a pdf and print it and take it with you

Howdy,
You can also get some books from the Dalesford Visitor centre for a few bucks. Handy little maps in them.
