Any info on Gold areas around Bundaberg

Does anyone have any info on gold prospecting areas around the Bundaberg area. Any help would be appreciated as we are first timers and want to try areas near to home before we venture further.

There was reasonable amounts of gold found around Bundy but most areas are on private property or state forrests (no go zones) so all I can suggest is do some study in libraries and internet then approach owners you never no your luck
