Lets get the ball rolling for Tibooburra

Nuggets From Down Under will donate $500 towards restoring the stolen equipment as a gesture of good will to the people of the Tibooburra community. Hopefully one day the community might have us back.
My very first trip away was to Mt Browne approx 10 years ago and I absolutely loved it, big thanks for having us all just the same.

I believe most feel this overwhelming urge to help where we can as the people of Milparanka and Tibooburra have been very helpful to a lot of prospectors. The amount of a donation is not important but rather the thought and feeling that goes with it. It is a way to let the Corner Country know we support them. I always get a warm feeling inside when people band together to help, well done!

I must point out that Nuggets From Down Under is making a donation and not collecting donations. I have contacted the Milparinka Heritage and Tourism Association to see if the treasurer of their committee is prepared to offer contact details for a public forum. As soon as a contact is available we will pass it on and it will be your decision if you want to contact them.

I'd like to add that these donations are to the community not to Mt Brown.
We donate to all sorts of appeals after natural disasters without batting an eyelid, so why not to a small community who will miss our tourist dollar to offset some of the cost of replacing equipment with money that could have been spent elsewhere.

It's not just about whose going to replace the stolen solar panels & pump. I believe this to be a good gesture to a good cause,in the hope of re-opening access to vast areas of remote gold bearing ground which is in the interest of all prospectors.

Can I add this,
Regardless of what happens, this sort of thing makes a difference...... I once was at the recieving end of a deal like this after my daughters go cart was stollen..... the guys on a forum I was on got together secretly and brought her a new go cart , I could have done it as money was not the problem but..... that gesture changed her life.... it completely restored her faith in human kindness, and if I can ever do that for another person it is worth more than a few bucks.

I am planning a trip to this beautiful part of the world in April
and am happy to make a contribution to the community as well.
