Lead shot little ball things

I am always picking these up with my sdc2300.

Was wanting to know how they get there and like how long do we think they are there.

There are heaps i get and kind of were they there since the gold rush.

Also when im finding them am i on the right track for the gold

Buck shot, bird shot, call it what you like Tim I'd guess there'd be a few billion of these little lead balls lying on the ground?
If your getting these little fella's you should be able to ping some yellow.
It's just luck and perseverance
