Re: Tasmania Club
Done
www.tas-prospecting.com
i will get the forum and links and images done tonight. The site is iphone and android ready for you guys with smartphones. cool huh. And i turned it up to the max with hosting, so should load pretty fast..
its only a lander at the moment. And people will need to re register. And im totally open to making things or putting things where it makes it easier for you.
i can install a generic forum in seconds, but want to try and find one thats mobile friendly and secure and smart first if i can. Should only take a day. Any images need to be copyright free or open source. and im asking permission from MRT etc to use their images etc. So its all above board and shiney.
have a great day
Phillip

Re: Tasmania Club
Hi the forum is back up. yeah!..
Tas-prospecting.com
i can't divert the traffic from the old site so you will need to join again sorry. It is possible to do, but is blackhat (term for online naughty programmer people) they can and i cant.
And i dont have access to any backup so cant convert all the info to the new site.
If any existing mods would like to help again, or if your interested / passionate about a subject please contact Starry or myself. Between us, we can make good thing happen. The site is independent and free from outside advertising and for me is really just about us getting out and about and enjoying our Beautiful state first hand. And if we can help people along the way,, Beauty.
Kindest Regards
Phillip

Re: Tasmania Club
Hi everyone,
It's been talked about for ages. We keep getting grief from Mineral Resources Tasmania whenever anyone asks a question about the rules. Every new rule change seems to be bad news for us prospectors and fossickers, and another nail in the coffin of recreational prospecting.
Whenever anyone tries to raise an issue individually we get ignored or worse. Some of us who've had enough have decided to organise into a formal, incorporated association of prospectors and fossickers, along the lines of PMAV and NAPFA. The constituting meeting will be held in Campbell Town on Saturday the 22nd of August at 11:00 am. Venue still to be decided, probably the pub (seems appropriate!).
If you're interested, please keep an eye out on this topic, or get in contact with me at appleisleprospector at gmail dot com.
I'll start off a separate topic for discussion on this.
Miguel.
