sound of gold and lead
I hear all the time the sound of lead and gold is similar on an sdc2300.
Ok cool but what pacifocally is the difference between the sounds that is why they are simliar.
What is a tad bit difference,
I feel its the closest thing.
I find heaps of tiny lead balls they size of a tiny pea.

Re: sound of gold and lead
Tim, both lead or gold can sound off as pretty much of a muchness.
I've had signals in places where I believed them to be gold, only to witness a lead pellet come out of the ground & in other places where the signal were not so clear or sharp as that of some gold nuggets believing it to be lead shot, an air riffle pellet or that of a .22 bullet, only to witness a small slug of gold.
The law here is dig everything, leave nothing to chance for only seeing is believing.
Now if you're finding tiny lead balls or bird shot, your on the right track to finding gold. Now days even more importantly is listening for those faintest of in ground positive target signals, which could be small gold near the surface, or the tip of an iceberg buried deep.
