Sounds like it's true.
Apparently they are trying to sell the business with some interest?
Tesoro, Whites - who next? Garrett? US manufacturers don't seem to value innovation much any more & relying on revamped old tech just doesn't inspire the end user unfortunately.

I was expecting Garrett to go first because like Tesoro their detectors have not progressed much in the past 10 years.
White's is a surprise to me. Their coin, relic and treasure detectors were what others had to catch up to. A good gold machine did not manifest itself until the TDI appeared although coin and relic hunting has always far surpassed gold detecting where detector sales are concerned.

Bummer! I wonder how Minelab is doing these days what with the impact of the corona v
