Are only Aboriginals allowed to have sacred sites and monuments in memory of significant events and people in this country?
I gather that they can pull down and or desecrate any that are not theirs without retribution.
They themselves have also desecrated the rock art and totems of people who were here before them in displays of zero respect.
It is time we stood our ground in respect of our ancestors and  pioneers who endured unbelievable hardship during their explorations of this planet.
We have been on earth in our present form for almost 250,000 years and we have progressed and evolved far ahead of other peoples in morality, civilisation and many other advancements. We have always had and continued to develop our attachment to the land, learning how to farm it and to produce food for great numbers of people.
White people did not just drop out of the sky one day we have been here for as long as anybody else. We hunted with stone tools and used clubs to kill prey. We learnt to hunt  animals much larger than ourselves with clubs rocks and devised traps, spears and bows and arrows, we were naked and eventually wore animal skins to protect ourselves, and fished the rivers and oceans. We lived in caves we learnt to build shelters and huts and houses and eventually great cities, ships planes trains and cars and figured out how to get into space. We came from the dust (Star Dust) and eventually arrived where we are today.
We are not just a bunch of blow ins from space or wherever the hell some  people think we came from.

Got it in a nutshell, most of these protesters would not exist but for what came before, lets rewrite history and allow japan and Germany to win WW2, not many of the latte inner city would be around

Adrian, there are two sides to every story, for the indigenous people of this great land of ours, have also endured their own hardships, during their time of exploration, if not more so, during white fella colonisation/occupation. No matter where one comes from, we all have something to offer, something to give. So lets not make this topic a biased discussion of us against them hey? I assure you, more damage has been done to this great land of ours in the 250 years of white fella occupation, than what any indigenous race has done, in the 40,000 years or so of their existence.
The bottom line is, we're all here now & here to stay, so we must find a way to give a little, take a little, compromise with one another, live & let live, in order to be be united as one nation, one people, or we'll have Buckley's hope of standing together as one, during a time of great crises or invasion. No one wins in a war, everybody loses someone or something.
History cannot be re-written, but can be repeated. This is why we must learn from past mistakes, so that a better future can be created, for all generations to come.
