[b] Where does the 4800 fit in to the scheme of things ? Are they as the numbers suggest 300 better than the 4500 but only 200 short of a 5000 Laughing Anyone used one yet ? Havent heard much about these machines other than whats in the minelab brochure , would be interested to hear more .

Yeah good question Angus, I am thinking the same thing. All the focus seems to be on the 5000 but how are the 4800's? someone out there must know. Hey JP have you done your DVD on these machines yet? I did check your website with no cigar.

I believe the 4800 might be aimed at the Europeans who currently use the GPX-4500 for seeking out buried treasure and artifacts. The new Treasure settings on the 4800 seem to attest to this. The relic hunters over there really like the depths that the GPX-4500 can reach on small targets.

On the way, but have a huge amount of work to do. Interviews are done but lots of long nights and early mornings coming up I'm afraid. geek
