Tributor this one also has those nodules and l was informed that is a bit of deep lead gold that had been forced to the surface he also told me that it was eluvial gold because the bottom was flat where it had worn away as it travelled downslope rather than alluvial where it would have been more rounded from being tumbled along with water.
This pic is of gold found ovèr a short period of time by Glen and I with 4500's crown land.
The next pic is gold found by Glen and l, also found over a short period of time in an area not far from the gold found with the 4500's but this time using Zeds. The GPX's really struggled on this ground even though it wasn't far from where the 4500's did well.

Re: Members Gold Album (lets get this topic going again please )
Ancient nuggets shaped and elongated under the deep sediments of the Macquarie River in the Permian era 250 million years ago. (When the Macquarie River was much bigger then it is now). The Permian landsurface and nuggets were buried and eroded out only in the last few millions of years. The middle two nuggets in the first image show the bottom of the flat nuggets with rolled over rim edges...a feature of many of the nuggets. The top sides are smoother. The gold nuggets are very high purity with most of the silver leached out over the millions of years.
It was a good period in my detecting life finding patches of these beautiful nuggets with Narrawa and Curley and later with Rowlos, freshwater, Mad Tuna, Whatsthetime and others.

Hi JW, yes been busy with life and doing gold tours and training here in Coolgardie
i swing the Zed and then my 4500 when zed gets a bit heavy later in the arvo, alot of the top pics were found with the 4500 prior to me purchasing a zed last year, but since having the zed haven't come home without gold yet

Thanks GB, Trib and Gypsy for the very nice pics of your very nice Gold (eye candy) finds.
I hope the weather clears/dries up so you can get back out there to your patch and you manage to dig up many more of the beautiful colours.
Thanks again to All for sharing your story and pics.
Best Regards.
Mike.

Re: Members Gold Album (lets get this topic going again please )
Hi Jef,
gold tours/training going really well, especially when clients stumble onto new patches, here a few i found last couple of days after a client found a sunbaker.

Re: Members Gold Album (lets get this topic going again please )
The pink quartz specie is also on the right of second pic.
Named it the "octopus", 300+grams total, 50+g of AU. Found at Mt Celia, it began to bucket down after heading out of Kal, was in my then brand new ute, no canopy, just a small tent and swag.
Arrived at Mt Celia and after a very wet night woke to radio message that most gravel roads to the North were closed. Made a decision, one hour detecting then hit the road and get out of there.
In amongst tin cans and other junk managed to get a more mellow signal and out of the mud finally had this little beauty in my hand.
Was very happy even having to leave prematurely and hit the road again for the 600 km drive home.
Getting out of here was not without a few problems crossing Lake Rebecca.

So he had to stay home for the cold vic winter. Brrr
This sure warmed him up though
