There are currently exploding sun spots on the far side of the sun that are soooo large that they are showing reverberations on the near side facing Earth. 
No pics yet....Maybe somebody is testing nukes on the sun. 
Need ta be a weeeely weeeely big nuke ta get through 1,400,000 kays of sun but.

The camera has a "Moon Mode" that waits 3 seconds after the shutter button is pressed. Gives time to stabilize the cam .

At first I thought it was just sun light reflecting of a crater wall but after enlargement and the odd shaped shadow and the general brightness of the light which is much brighter than other crater wall reflections it seems to me to be an unusually bright reflection off of something inside a crater. I will be watch for it again later on.

Although there is evidence of collapsed lava tubes at the lunar surface I doubt that there is any remaining molten material inside the moon that could make it to the surface and still be molten. Who knows; many flashes of light have been spotted on the moon. The one I photographed was very bright and large that appeared to light up an area of approx 30k in diam???
Also interesting is the fact that I had this heat pic on a Space Weather photo Gallery and I notice today that it has been taken down?

So the crater where this flare occurred appears to be Aristarchus which is notorious for displaying unusual activity like radon gas emissions and volcanic activity. It is an impact crater 40km in diam and approx 3km deep

Got these 2 quick shots of Jupiter the other night.
This shot at 7pm and the second one at 7.05pm.
Pics are a tad out of focus and is a hand held shot but the appearance of the little moon? ( If that is what it is) nearest to Jupiter is clearly visible in the second pic.

We have been here in Canberra for the best part of 40 + years and the Currawongs have never eaten bird seed in my back yard but this year they are swooping on it whereas normally they go for the cherry and plum tree fruit. This year for the first time ever we have no cherries and the plum tree fell over earlier in the year.
The Currawongs have taken to copying the butcher birds and magpies and are coming to the back door looking for handouts. There seems to be a shortage of their usual food around Canberra.

If you look veeeerryyyyy carefully you can pick out two moons.
False Color Image showing cloud banding and 3 moons.
