Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
I agree. I do-not know why camera designers bother with electrical focus manual mode. There is just no beating a good manual focus ring. Aperture ring and shutter speed adjust

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
Can somebody tell me how to fix my comp screen.
When I shut down the other night I inadvertently clicked on something that shifted the blue task bar (or whatever you call it) to the far left of the screen.
How do I get it back to across the bottom of the screen?
I can rotate the entire screen but not just the blue bar].

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
Hi Adrian, I was just looking at my settings, right click on task bar go to ( task bar settings ) and on mine go down to ( task bar location on screen ) but my screen looks a lot different than yours. Running windows 10
Just a thought what comes up if you click on customise?
Cheers Peter

If its Windows XP I think you left click on the taskbar a drag it where you want it. To stop it from happening again make sure the taskbar is locked

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
OK thanks. Dragging fixed it but now the bar is too wide.

Adrian, if they are not very good shots, then I won't show you any of my shots, as you would be putting me to shame. Great detailed photos.

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
That is interesting. The complete pic displays on my screen without having to click on the pic??

Don't sweat getting an answer. The issue was my screen size and resolution. To allow mee to more easily read most basic text on my Windows Surface, I have to change the screen resolution (it is a touch screen so just a couple of finger movements ). It seems that while it also can change the pic size, the text size for this large pic is too small to read easily by the time the pic fits the screen.

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
Hi Jackie.
Pic taken from my back yard. Aircraft was on final approach approx 7 km away as moon was rising just above my neighbours roof and some local hills.
Moon is over exposed because the 900 was set to capture the aircraft.

Awesome pics. I watched several videos about this camera and all of them are complimentary! As a person who are interested in photography, I would recommend this camera for newbies and post-newbies, this camera will fit all their needs.

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
Mould! Mould! There's no mould in my 900 Grrrrrrrrr.
Am uncertain about the comet notion. a possibility I guess. If not too cloudy I will have another look to night.
The fuzz ball was not in pics taken on 24/11/19 at 2043, 2044, 2045 and appeared in pics taken at and after 2053.
Enlargement of fuzz ball.

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
By the Adrian way forgot to mention about things on lenses/screens,back in the old days in hospitals they use to have the xray box,dr's would put the xray up to examine it.
On the odd occasions a patient lung/chest xray would have the preliminary diagnosis of a "shadow" on their lung, only to turn out to be a smudge on the perspex screen.
Some git had used sticky tape on the screen, when the tape was removed and not cleaned properly it would build up a translucent smudged area not seen until the light box was turned on.
The good old days not.

That's very odd indeed I haven't a clue.
I've done a bit of photography in my day but that is strange.
