Re: GPX 4500 Re-Introduced!
A word of caution here fellas. Reminds me of the new revamped SD 2200 V2 (blue box). It was cheaper, ran smoother & slightly quieter than my standard 2200d (green box) but when put to a comparison test, between the 2,the so called "revamped" smoother, quieter running technology of the V2,was at the cost of 20%+ less in depth performance. Now I'm in no way referring to these "so called" new supply of substantially cheaper,or more affordable GPX 4500s,to have the same issues as their counterpart brothers, but do keep in mind,Minelab is trying to push the sales of the GPZ 7000 & I don't think it would be in their interest,to have any updated 4500/5000,a whole lot cheaper in price & one step closer to the performance capabilities of the 7000.
So if anyone intends on purchasing one of theses newly re-introduced 4500s,for the sake of the price drop/difference,fair enough, just keep in mind what I'v experienced above.
Cheers Kon.

Re: GPX 4500 Re-Introduced!
My thoughts are to the people thinking of buying the discounted 4500 package, especially if you are working to a budget.
The 4500 is a killer detector and will find deep gold and if you want to put a sadie on the end and go slow you can crumb on mullock heaps and get the little ones. With a 4500 and if you do your research, learn your machine and detect hard you will do well. In terms a detectors ability to find gold (including gold at depth) and the detectors cost I rate the discounted 4500 deal as the best bang for your buck deal I have ever seen for a dedicated gold detector . So if you thinking of buying your first gold detector or stepping up from a older detector I would recommend the 4500. Buying something shiny and new with a long warranty is good too.
