Re: detech coil for gp3000
I can't answer your question but I've recently purchased the 18x15 sef coil for my gp3500 and pretty happy with. For the G.T. I find mono coils noisy and prefer dd coils. Pete of Detech Australia was very helpful, give him a call. This is my second Detech coil, my first was the 13" dd ultimate for my Tesoro machine.

Re: detech coil for gp3000
As Colour stated fabphil, all mono's no matter what brand or make will play up somewhat over highly mineralized soils on the SD or GP series, but Detechs range of DD's should work very well on both(as did the 12.5 inch DD on my 2200 during testing). The 3000 was designed to be more sensitive on the sub gram gold than what the 2200 was.My opinion,as an average all rounder, coupled to the 3000,I'd be considering Detechs new 15x8 DD coil.

Re: detech coil for gp3000
I'm not sure the mono's worth the trouble Fabphil. I tried a Nugget Finder 12" round Mono on a Gp Extreme I once had, and I only found one area (one small part of the Heathcote goldfield) where it actually ran quiet. Non Gpx Minelabs really don't like mono's in highly mineralised dirt, IMHO.
