Detech Coil

G'Day All,
Took the plunge over the weekend and ordered a 18" Detech from Bulgaria
Stinky Pete was a great help and I should have the coil in four days ready for the trip to Mt Magnet next week
Will post my thoughts or success with this coil when I get back

I have been using the 18 mono in the NT and found it ran the best I search mode General
Soil timing in Normal

I was still running a high gain, the machine was running quietly with these setting.
Even over mineralized ground.

Done some more today with the 18 Mono up here in the NT.
And found in some conditions I had to run the machine in Enhance , or in Special timing and select Sensitive smooth.

This enabled the machine to run smooth and quiet.

Hi Guys and Gals
Got back from a great weekend in the Murchison, recharged the batteries, just the atmosphere of being bush, campfire and camp stew was enough haha
Found 9 bits, which I will post later, they are having a soak in Alibrite haha
The new 18" Detech coil is great, didn't find any yellow with it, but was impress with the sensitivity and smooth ops
I think you need to get familiar with using a larger coil, analiysing the signals etc
I think it has a lot of potential
