18x12 nugget tech coil LEONORA

Does any one have a true and tested setup for the gpx5ooo married up with a 18x12 nugget tech coil, around Leonora??
I was told that fine gold settings is a good starting point..is this true??

Hi Aussie, sounds like someone has a new toy eh, I'm no expert but I suggest you start out in factory settings,in the front panel go to Mono if using a Mono coil, DD if DD, Fixed tracking, Normal timings, General in search mode, FP value is shown on your display, if you have a reasonably smooth threshold and the EMI is stable then go with that, read your manual and try to understand what each setting does and use it when you need to overcome the issuse you come accross,there is no one settings fits all situations setting so just keep on listening to the machine and refering to the manual, if your lucky you will come accross someone in the field with a good understanding and the will to share the knowledge but it's not the kind of thing you can tell someone in one quick discussion and everyone has varying opinions on it anyway , play with the settings and take notice what happens and read the manual for answers, good luck out there.
