Hi guys, i have a sadie coil and thought that I might try a joey as they look a lot narrower than
the sadie and should be easier to use in scrubb or tussock ground but i am wondering, Are they
as good as sadie.
cheers Peter

On the GPX series not a problem. Both coils work very well with the sadie punching a little deeper on the tinier gold (say 0.3gm and below).A little more unstable on the GP or SD series over hotter ground though, due to the lack of a stabilizer and gain control.

Cheers kon61.

I tried the sadie at hillend on the weekend and it was a bit unstable in the ground
out there tried different settings but still noisy. I think I will try a joey next.
Cheers peter

I have detected extensively with both coils.
The Sadie is slightly hotter in my experience and I like the fact
it is slightly rounder than the Joey, it seems to go a bit deeper.
But they are both wonderful coils in the right circumstances.
You really can't go wrong with either one.

Don't forget, all this is an opinion fwiw...
