Hi,
Just joined the forum so hi.
I have never owned a metal detector but I would like to search for coins/jewellery in parks and beaches.
My early searching for detectors lead me to a Minelab Sovereign GT, would these do the job.

Is there others I should be looking at?
Also I would like to know of others in Brisbane who would like to give me some basic tips and equipment training in the area.

Im located at Tingalpa brisbane.

I am having trouble talking to anyone in brisbane clubs.
Thanks in advance.

Tony

Hi Tony
I just used one of these a week ago for relics in the goldfields.I had one back in the 90's the first model and used it for about 2 years.Great coin machine but maybe not so sensitive to gold.Just buy the new 3030 I,m sure you will get your money back quite quickly.

Training and advice? only if you could hook up with someone willing to show you the ropes or maybe your local dealer might offer some tuition with the purchase.Either way ask around and welcome to the forum Tony cheers What a Face

Hi Tony
For many years I used a SD2100 with a 14DD on the beach. It proved very successful and found many gold rings to say the least. These are very affordable for an excellent unit that goes deep and will certainly still do the job in the goldfields.
