relic hunting with the 4000
Hi everyone!
Going to a relatives property at a site which was occupied by australian and american troops during world war 2 and later was a main port supplying Rockhampton by boat. has anyone got some tips on settings to run the 4000 relic and coin hunting?
Discrimination etc? Or would it be best to use all metal?
As it is a coastal site should i use the salt setting?
Cheers,
Jason

Re: relic hunting with the 4000
i think i know the area you are detecting.
i'd be running the minelab 11" DD coil with desc of 5.
you won't need salt mode. general should be fine.

Hi Goltzy, presumably your looking for all metal relics so I would say just run it as per normal Mono or DD unless you get into some serious salt areas then try salt.

If you have questions on coins, go see QLD Sandy, Peter Cragg at Gold City Detecting.
