This is what comes up on my screen.

The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite. This is likely to be caused when the server needs RC4, which is no longer considered secure.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
Adrian if you still can not get on, send Clegy an email
This is the email i recieved from them
[G'day Members,
Well after a disastrous move back in July the forum has moved once again and now we live in the cloud quite literally.
I for one was sick of the constant breaking of the forum and as it was nearing ten years old something had to be done. The bandaids just couldn't cope.
We Now live at Kimbucktwo.com you'll be re-directed to the community page and you can join in or start a discussion or just post a few finds and a story for us to read.
This platform is robust and will handle the requirements of you the member quite well. Remember to Update your profile details as these couldn't be moved over.
Come on over, Log in and say G'day. Check out the new format and leave a post behind so we know you visited.
Now the community can grow as my time spent here will not be as the repairman but as an active contributor and administrator of what I believe to be Australia's premier Coin and relic detecting community.
Thanks for the kind words from those that have messaged and reached out through social media.
Lets get back to creating great posts, having some fun and sharing this great hobby of ours. In these times we need to unite more than ever as the risks to ur Hobby have never been greater.
Thanks and see you in the community sometime.

Hello Adrian
You would have possibly got the same email from Clegy that Jen received
The whole forum has gone over to “tapatalk “ platform which will still work like a normal web address
If you have the web name saved You will need to clear the cache and type it again
Your old login may or may not work ( mine did not ) I had to use my google login
All the history on the old platform , photos , posts etc. back to 2009 are all there even PMs
As mentioned , try and contact Clegy or via his website Detectorist.com.au

The problem is in my computer.( XP 2002 serv pk 3). My tablet and other comp work fine.
Very strange that the comp has no probs with any other address that I am aware of.

Am still unable to log in to the Australian metal detecting and relic hunting forum.
For a short time I could access it via my tablet but now even it does not work on that forum. Everything was fine until the forum got messed about with.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
I already have eight different passwords and several user names and I don't think that my tiny brain can handle any more passwords.
I might have to call it quits on the AMDRH forum.
It has been a great forum but has had too many changes plus difficulties getting half decent recognisable photos onto posts can make posting a real pain at times.
Oh well, maybe when I am in a better mood I will have another go at it.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
Adrian have you tried different web browsers.
I am guessing you have.
I am using my iPad with its own browser. Safari
Works ok, I hadn’t needed to do anything, although all their mail goes to my junk folder now.
And I did an oopsy, and opted out of receiving any emails,
as I have a fair bit of junk going there I didn’t read it properly

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
Hi Jen.
I think I am getting too old for computers. More trouble than they are worth.
My tablet was working fine with Google Chrome until a few days ago but now when I try to log on to the AMDRH forum it is telling me I am no longer a registered member..
What the blazes is "tapatalk"?
Is it like jibberjabber or loadacrap

I'm not sure why, but I haven't had any problems accessing AMDRH. Getting to be a very quiet forum though.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
Its not the forums fault, the new format has made it harder it gain access only those that want to keep being there will keep trying to get back in.
Like myself but I was ready to walk as it was getting way to hard, only after trying one more time was I able to get back there
It used to be a great forum but I think its days are numbered unless things change to make it like it used to be
M.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
It is very a unfortunate situation but I agree and have given up trying to get back on.
The funny thing is that There used to be constant comments in the past about the forum having problems and yet I had not noticed anything until it was changed.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum

I ended up logging in with just tapatalk.com that worked for me

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
So if I do not have and Android devise or windows ph or IOS (whatever that is) then I cannot access the forum??
It will therefore cost me a lot more than the price of an 2 buck App to get back onto the forum.
The only point I can see for tapatalk is that it will make the owners of tapatalk very rich in a very short time if enough people get sucked into it.

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
Hi Martin R
Sorry to hear that, i also binned that stupid tapatalk
Ok i just tried this
First time logging on with my computer to the AMDRH forum
So there was no history of that forum in my cookies
Just tried to access that forum using my pc, windows 10
Internet explorer
Had no troubles
Now i did have trouble loading another forum, using my ipad,
until i deleted all my cookies
So maybe thats the problem. Try deleting your cookies, it can’t hurt

Re: Australian Metal Detecting And Relic Hunting Forum
We have a few still battling on with the new system. My 2 work computers will not open the site but the iPad works fine. I had about 18000 posts over many years but could only see two sections with the Rwork user name on the new platform. I changed to another account, Rwork visitor and can now see all.
Clegy tried hard when we first changed but seems to have given up now. He said the previous platform
( smf? ) was doomed.
