Hello guys, what are the best settings for hunting coin and relic on high mineralized soil for the GPX 5000? I think coin/relic timing is the best.. but i read is not good on mineralized ground.. i need to reach the best possible depth on coin and relic..
I'm using the stock 11dd coil!

I think if your using the "stock 11dd coil" the coin/relic timing is best, it could be a bit of a problem if using the 11" mono though.

cheers dave

No mate it doesn't ,well not according to the manual ,the manual says that, that  timing mode is only good for lightly mineralised soil .ive only played around with that mode briefly a couple of times on my 5000 ,and even with ground I could work comfortably in normal with ,I couldn't with coin & relic mode .But yes a DD coil handles mineralization better than a Mono does . But just how hot is your ground ???? I'm presuming a monos to difficult  Question Personally i'd stick to the 11'dd and try and run in Normal  ,or try special / sharp ?? and hop into deep mode if when and where possible .

the ground is very hot.. i tried the coin/relic mode but it sounds everywhere... i think becuase of mineralization.. the best mode for searching at the maximum depth coin and relics in hot grand is normal?

From the manual: "Sensitive Smooth is optimized for an improved response on smaller, shallow nuggets in severe soils. There is a loss of depth on bigger targets; so you should not use this setting when seeking out large, deep nuggets. "

I'm a relic hunter.. i search for deep coins and relics.. i think sensitive smoth is not good! Sad
