Gold seeker 15000

Ive got my detector out to get the cobwebs out of it, the coil has perished and falling to pieces, im looking for a replacement, my question is will any DD coil with a 5 pin plug work or is it Minelab brand only?

G'day JeffH I would try to contact a Minelab dealer and check with them. The new coils would be a different set up. IMHO . The 15000 is a VLF Machine.

Ive contacted Minelab and got a few answers, ive seen quite a few on Ebay but im a bit wary if im getting the right one, ill wait till i get more financial before i contact a dealer to see if they have anything. Thanks.

No, simply having the same connector does not necessarily mean the coil will work, it has to be designed for the same operating frequency of the 15000. And have the same pin out configuration. It runs at 8khz.
8 inch Goldseeker coil and the 11 inch Goldseeker 11 will work. Also coils for the GT16000 Ground Tracker will work,such as the 8 inch Supersearch.

Don't remember what the coils for the 15000 looked like?
Got this one on a shelve in the back room, perhaps it was one of them? compare it to what you got.

Yes that is the GS 15000 11 inch. It will also work with the GT16000FT
Also Sterling & Musketeer coils will work with these detectors.
