Whipstick after work ...
Hi all ,
Well the rains held off all day today so Morris & myself decided to duck out to a spot in the whipstick which has produced for us in the past . A 15 min drive from work put us in the area & with no time to waste we were straight into it .
I was running the 4500 coupled up to the 14"Round NF solid .... my plan of attack today was to try some different settings that i had been researching . 1.5 hrs later i had 3 in the jar & we were outta there .
The 2 smaller bits basically came out of the same hole at 6" deep , the larger bit had ironstone attached to it & was unearthed at a depth of 8" .
The settings i was using worked a treat - nice clear defined signals ... I also used auto tune with the gain & stabiliser wound up to max , & the motion wound up to fast . Once the auto tune was completed i then set my settings as follows :
Rx Gain 8 , Stabiliser 10 , Motion - Very Slow , Audio - Boost ... The 4500 ran really calm considering the emi that was out there today . These certainly are not secret settings but they are new to me as i always run my gain higher than the stabiliser , & my motion is always set to slow .
So i was very happy with the settings & the results ...2.27 grams
Regards

Well done, its been nothing but mud down here for the last few days with hardly anything to show. Thanks for sharing the setup,Ive been using a 14"solid for the last week and using very similar settings.Getting good depth on these settings and good response to small nuggets.

Re: Whipstick after work ...
Congrats GullyHunter, Beaut little nuggies, Thanks for sharing your settings. Got plenty of different things to try out when we hit the goldfields this season. Very rarely get to try anything out though as i just always got to get it out of the ground & into my hand, Cant help myself. Going to have to be a concerted effort on my part to leave the target there & try some of the pointers/settings/coils to add to my learning curve !
Cheers

Nice little finds there GullyHunter and thanks for those settings mate. I'll try them on my 5000 with the 11" Mono as where I'm working right now there is plenty of EMI around
