A little piece from the Whipstick
Hi all , managed to ping this little bit with the 18" NFA ... i was hunting the slightly deeper ground with no luck & decided to look on one of the shallower slopes leading into the gully , played around with the settings when i first found the signal which made a huge difference to the response ( RX Gain , Audio , Stabiliser ) -but i put them back to where i had them prior to videoing the dig . To try & run the wand on settings higher than what i was using would make it too unstable & chattery ... ( obviously this was with a mono - havent tried a dd out here yet ) .
Cheers

Re: A little piece from the Whipstick
Now that you're using a REAL coil I'm not surprised you found a bit . What's the weight?
Liked the vid, usually takes people ages to pinpoint properly with an 18" on a small target but looks like you are a professional at it.

Re: A little piece from the Whipstick
Hey Manny , didnt realise i never put the weight up - came in at 1.6 grams... I took a leaf out of your book & decided to swing the 18" this week - pinged alot of lead shot over the last few days hence the accuracy with pinpointing using a large coil .. i pin point the same way as if i was using an elliptical , as you are well aware bro - its not that difficult ...

Nice going there gully hunter good to see your getting amongst it again. I thought VIC was wet and water logged, that looked like quite hard and dry ground. Well done mate, a good video and a nice bit of gold for your effort.

A liittle piece from the Whipstick
Finally watched your great video gully hunter, and enjoyed the dig the best thing is the sound of the pick hitting the gravel, and the ever increasing sound of the detectors signal bearing in on the gold
Great to see you`re out there mate doing what you love...Ahh i`ve had a 4 trip drought also...and heading out tomorrow to change that i hope
