Gday. Was thinking of purchasing one of this gadgets for my sd 2200d. Does anyone have one and do they make a difference with the theshold being more stable. My main reason im looking at buying one is I can run a mono coil effectivly with my 2200. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers.

Not sure from memory but, think they were ok but did not realy sell well.
The Superfix goes back a long way and I have a feeling that there might have been a write up in AGG&T at some time.
I think that there were a few gripes about it but donot recall what they were about.
Little bit of info here:

Honestly, spend your money on something you will benefit from, the only benefit you'll get from the superfix is a lighter wallet. Very Happy Very Happy

I was there the day they turned up, myself and two others....took them to Medaranke for testing...they were back in the shop an hr latter being altered so they would actually work on the Extreme, 3500 and 3000.
Useless!!

Hi guys,
I bought one of these Superfixes to use on my SD2200d. I took it out and did some tests with it. I tested it for a total of about 2 hours with both DD and mono coils. I normally dont use monos on the 2200 because I cant stand the ground noise. My conclussions are:
I didn't like the audio sound but to be fair, given time, I might have been able to learn it. It certainly sounded way different to what I was used to.
I buried targets and found it difficult to distingish the target sounds over the other sounds the Superfix was emitting.
I did try different settings both in Minelab and Enhanced modes and after spending my money, was really keen to have it work, but at the end of the day I went back to my true and tried way of the 2200d with a booster.
I haven't totally rubbed it out, but I have put it on the backburner to experiment more with, when I have some spare time on a cool day and can devote a few more hours to it.
