Just received conformation that Coiltek are back on board as the Major Sponsor of our weekend.
For those that didn't attend last year Coiltek were the first sponsors to put their hand up to sponsor the weekend, and for those that did attend I'm sure you will agree their donations to the raffle were a big hit with loads of prizes won by all.

Well this year is no acceptation, they have come to the party with some great prizes.

I must clear one thing up, this is Coiltek in South Australia and not the Coiltek Gold Centre in Maryborough, I'm still to hear back from those folks?

I've booked in for the nights of the 24/25/26/27 May. I've got a self contained two bedroom cabin, wikth amenaties, - on my own for $60 a night. Happy to share to defray the costs! PM me if you are interested. Woof.

Worked really well as i did not have accommodation last year and being a first trip detecting ever was offered accommodation by some forum members.
To cut the story short have done many many detecting trips with these guys and still catch up regularly to have a detect day out.

This time i book the cabin and invited them

I spoke with Robin at the park last night and she informs me that there are only a few cabins left & plenty of powered and un powered site still remain, so if you thinking of attending and need a cabin then I suggest that you book it now as the next closest accommodation is Dunolly.

It's still early days for attendees, I think we are well over 50 expression. I think that once Easter is over people will start to get serious about the weekend.

As for the sponsors the has been a wonderful response from the interstate people, but there has not been any response at all from any of the Victorian out-let's / shops??? I'm sure they will get on board soon, but if anyone is going into these shops soon, maybe you can give then a little nudge. I also have not had a reply from Minelab, must be to busy with the new detector release. LOL

If anyone has missed out on getting a cabin, there might be some room in cabins where people have booked a cabin, but it is only going to have one person in. Iwould like to share a cabin them maybe post a request to share and see what happens.

I believe that there was some great gold from the area this past long weekend??

We have hit the 50 mark for the weekend already which is just fantastic considering there is still over 2 months to go before the event.


Still looking for local support of the event as no victorian prospecting supply company has come on board as yet?? If anyone can help out please let us know. I know they all read our forum and we support them, it would be great to get something back?????

i will be back from the tibo trip by then (only by a matter of days), so i 'might' be able to make it. Not 100% certain but can sleep in the pajero if i have to so no biggy. Fingers crossed...

POST SCRIPT: I phoned Robyn and booked powered site for 25/26/27 May, and there are still powered and unpowered sites available as at 9/4/2012...Hoo Roo.....

Have requested the weekend off from work and from the minister for fun and finance. May have to bring one of the offspring to offset the damage.

Booked Ken into the gym to bulk up for all the digging The benefit of being married to a Mine Manager we shouldn't have any probs if we need a shaft or tunnel or even a raise bore dug to follow a good lead, although filling in the hole could be the biggest challenge
