yep i'v gone and brought a 4500 as the price was way to good to pass on $3500 it come with a big coil a 11 commander mono a hip stick maps and a back pack and a big pick. i was happy with this deal

i still have the 4000 at the moment but it's on ebay for sale just with the standard gear so i'll be keeping the 8" and my 14" N/F coils

hey The Modern Day Prospector, that's a great price for an 8" as they are $215 new. who ever ends up with the 4000 will fall in love with it like i have it's just a great detector it's going to be sad to see it go.

i havn't got to take it out for a run as the weather has been shocking. i did take it out when it had stopped raining for a few mins when the rain had stopped and i dug a target down 12" (22 bullet head) i was impressed with that as it was clear signal but still have to learn everything over again but shouldn't take to long.

Here is our set up with the 4500.
Two loops on front D's, the bungie is connected with detector weight distributed across both shoulders. Adjust bungie so the coil hovers just above ground while not holding detector. Only requires steering the coil when swinging the coil, less tiresome with 20" coils.
Pick with super magnet in end of handle hanging from chest. Magnet on pick blade no longer used. Spoon is readily accessible when target is out of ground.
No metallic items below waist line to interfere when swinging the big monos.
