Hi Rangirocks,

Re: LAANCOORIE 2012 FORUM GET TOGETHER
Hi Mariner..
I called past the caravan park today on my way home but was unable to catch up with Wombat. Are you able to give me some idea what time the days events will kick off on Sunday. I'd like to come over from Maldon and say g'day and tag along for the day if that is possible. The weather was dry today and quite pleasant when I was out and about near Inglewood way for a couple of hours in the bush .....even managed a little yellow.
all the best

I think we will be kicking off around 9am.
If you like try my mobile 0417010069 if you are running late. I don't know the location that Jim is taking us to yet, but will post on the forum on Saturday once I know.
Kindest Regards

Thanx Mariner
Thanx for getting back to me Peter....much appreciated. I just missed the boys when I drove past this afternoon on my way home. It sounds like they were out and about checking sights for the outandabout on Sunday. Can understand fully what Satdy night will be like ...it'll be a hoot I'm sure. I am locked into having a few froffies [/i] here in Maldon myself with some people who are staying for a round of the World Trials motorbikes. Hope we are all bright eyed and bushy tailed for Sunday. Should be there about 8.30am and make myself known.
Looking forward to meeting you fellas.

Bring your gumboots. Van park could be a mud bath I reckon. It is pouring down hard right now (that goes for indoors too)! Hardly ever rains here in Tarnagulla/Laanecoorie - sod's law! Hope it breaks for the weekend or we'll all be panning.

An eventful drive over from SA ... howling wind, lightning, thunder, sheeting rain, AND hail ... Must be in VIC
Jest jokin' ... The Sand Gropers brought it over, dropped it on my place ... so I thought I'd bring it with me and share with you guys
Sitting in a nice warm kitchen at my son's place in Bendigo right now, so will see you all tomorrow. Can't wait ... it's like being a kid again and waiting for Xmas Morning

Re: LAANCOORIE 2012 FORUM GET TOGETHER
Hi all, seeing as its raining im taking my highbanker/sluice to Laanecoorie tomorrow (sat). For anyone interested will be giving a demo (depending on water) of sluicing and panning in the morning at Waaneyarra near the camping ground I know a spot which should produce a few specks as long as i have water nearby. Will be at the front of the Laanecoorie caravan park about 8.30am. Just look for the Toyota Landcruiser with GRUMPY across the windscreen. Cheers Grumpy (Doug).

Re: LAANCOORIE 2012 FORUM GET TOGETHER
Hi grumpy57,
That's a great idea thanks and I for one would love to learn about it - except I think the time clashes with the test pit already scheduled. Car park meetup at 8:30am for a test pit at 8:40am...

Re: LAANCOORIE 2012 FORUM GET TOGETHER
Hi Goldylox, I can wait until after the test pit gathering so people interested in sluicing/panning and detecting can all be catered for. I'm bringing my 4500 as well and will do a bit of detecting in the afternoon. Unfortunatly wont be able to stay saturday night but hope to hang around for the BIG raffle before heading home. Cheers Grumpy.(Doug).

Re: LAANCOORIE 2012 FORUM GET TOGETHER
Yippee! You total trooper.
I'll aim to get there for the test pit and then do your sluice/panning demo. I'm sure many will want to as well. Was going to swag it there tonight but my (already SES tarped up) roof has leaked badly again (it dumped about a bathfull ontop of the hot stove in a magnificent explosion of steam & leaves) so daren't leave my crappy shack for too long in this rotten weather! The wind has really gotten up now. Next thing, we'll need our snow chains... I'll go over there soon for the DVD showing this evening & have to pop home for the night dammit. Hope it clears up for tomorrow & Sunday! Keep safe, dry & warm everyone.
