Otto fibreglass shafts
Hi Chaps,
Looking at Otto fibreglass shafts for my 5000 and noticed that there is an 8mm. hole in the lower shaft as opposedto the 6mm hole in the Minelab one. Does this mean that you have to drill out all your coil holes to suit.

Hi tutc
I use the standard 6mm ( 1/4 " ) in the ottos with no problem .
Drilling the hole in the coil might void their warranty .
From memory the coilteks used an 8mm bolt. Not sure if they still do . Its a better size to keep the coil at the correct angle I recon

Re: Otto fibreglass shafts
Hi Chaps'
Thanks for your prompt replies. Sounds as though there's no problem using the 1/4" bolt. Think I'll be going that way as I didn't really want to start drilling all my coils out to 8mm. By the way, how does swinging the Otto shafts compare to the stock standard Minelab one's when swinging larger coils.
