White's dectors
Has any one had any thing to do with whites we have a minelab 4000 & a 4500 we heard good reports about whites today we are at Coolgardie every one seemes to use minelabs here ???

There is some info on the Whites TDI build for Australia.
Never used one myself, but looking at the picture of the controls at the bottom of the page, it makes you think that its just like a minelab only everything is manual. So you have to constantly tune and balance your machine manually. Just a guess, i could be wrong on that.
But my theory is while whites build the hardware that does samish things as minelab PI detector, it is missing the essential automation (software, brains).

I had the whites for 8 months and can provide comment
it is easy to use and tune and stays in tune for a surprisingly long time.
Works great on coins and buttons.
On gold it was terrible and could not pickup the small gold that all the minelabs were detecting and these were the old minelabs.
If your after gold save your money and frustration and get a minelab. If your after a coin machine then yes it would be good especially with the descrimination.
Before anyone says I spent 8 months with the machine looking at every setting and even getting 6 inch mono coil from the states.
