It pays to chain.
Hello again guys,
I went back to the area i was chaining yesterday and went for a walk for an hour finding nothing.
So I put the chain on and carried on chaining.
5 hours later 28 peices for 49.6 grams. The biggest is 20.1 grams.
I am still using the 24" mono nugget finder advantage coil.
The flies got the better of me so I will be back out tomorrow.

Re: It pays to chain.
Hi ya Glen,
I am using the 24" elliptical coil.
In the next day or two I will be using the 14" elliptical coil.
All the pieces I found today were no deeper than 5".

Thanks for that M8! I take it you like to prospect with the 24"? I'm trying to decide between the NF and the Coiltek offerings.

Re: It pays to chain.
Hello again, been a few days since my last entry.
I changed my 24" mono coil to my 14" mono coil and started to chain on the other side of my patch.
I ended up finding 34 pieces for a total of 20 grams this morning.
More to come I hope???????

That averages to a colour every 10 minutes or so.... must be nice!!
Sounds like every target is a purrty one.
Congrats REDBULLion.
Thats some stuff most of us can only dream of.
Thanks for photos and let us know how you get on?!
I am wondering whether there may be some bigger fish down deeper- might pay to go over with 24" round?
great stuff.

Re: It pays to chain.
Roaring Days, I would have to think the choice between a Nugget Finder or a Coiltek would be a no brainer.......Nugget Finder would get my vote even though I use a coiltek 24" X 12" mono. That was because Nugget Finder hadnt made them back then. Mind you it still gobsmacks me to the small gold the coiltek 24 x 12 picks up but I havnt used the Nugget Finder, so may be a bit unfair of me to say that.
I think this is the smallest Piece I have found with my 24 x 12. .44 of a gram
Close up, incase you couldnt see it
A few other bits got on the same day
13.75 grammer
Great patch finder, nice & light for it size, still sensertive to small gold & covers a heap of ground. Can swing it all day with a hip stick. I am sure REDBULLion finds the same thing, & as he has done once a patch is found is to go back over it with smaller coils.

Re: It pays to chain.
Nice find there JW.
That is a rather big hole for a small target!!! All my pieces from this patch have been very shallow and on the surface.
Another piece i found this morning. Weighs 17.5 grams.
Still using the 4500 with a 14" coil.
