G'day Nick.

I can safely say that apart from the 14x9s lightness, slightly sharper response to smaller targets & maneuverability characteristics, both coils offer similar sensitivity and depth on targets say from 0.1g and above, with the 11"pulling slightly better depths on gold bits say 5g and above.

Cheers kon61.

Thanks Kon61, I was starting to think i should buy a 11 commander mono as people speak highly about them , have started to loose faith in the goldstalker, but will persevere & see how things go.Others say there to touch sensitive , but after 5 minutes or so, They become less touch sensitive i believe.Thats my opinion.

Nick, all mono coils are touch sensitive to some degree or another, especially if your a coil scraper like me.The Coiltek Goldstalker series are one of the most sensitive coils on the market, compared to the Nugget Finder Advantage series, where the Commander lies somewhere between the two. Having the coil raised to about one inch off the ground whilst swinging, should solve all ground noise problems.

Cheers kon61.

Gday Nick, dont give up on the goldstalker just yet. The 14x9 elliptical was my most used and profitable coil in my collection last year, having found the majority of the 97 nuggies for the season. I only changed over to an 8" minelab or the 16" round GS on two occasions as I was having such fun with the elliptical. Cheers Evan
