Heavier than I thought.
G'day everyone.
It was a great day to be out in the Whipstick today. There are a lot of people out there. 5 of us attended the event out in the Whipstick and by midday most were on their way home. I stayed a little bit longer and moved to another spot about a kilometre away.
Soon after getting to the new spot I got this small piece which I thought would go about half a gram.
It ended up weighing 0.84 gram. My largest piece this year.
It seems that IMGUR have made some great improvements and now I cannot get the photo to link in the forum. Change for the sake of change and it made things worse.
Got the picture in after 30 minutes. Madness.
Regards Axtyr.

All gold is good gold.
Well done, I've given up on Whipstick.
Haven't found anything there for ages.

Stubbsy, it is really hard work out in the Whipstick in some areas.
Those spikey plants are everywhere and they are getting bigger. Swinging the Z was a bit of a nightmare. A Sadie or 8" Commander is the go.

Re: Heavier than I thought.
Scrub growth is at its peak this particular year, making many a gold locality notorious for swinging a coil over. None the less, we persevere.
Nice little slug of gold. Well done Axtyr

I enjoy prospecting in the whipstick.
There's great looking ground out there that reminds me of WA countryside.
It's a tough environment in summer and one can find themselves lost very easily, it's on par Inglewood too.
The abundance of birds and wildflowers at the moment is fantastic, unfortunately gold is becoming scarce.
