Some very nice photo's have been taken of this comet when it was further out from the sun.

The comet is very naked eye visible in the North western sky approx 24 deg above the Northern  horizon at  sun set (19:17)  15/10/24....Hope someone can spot it coz I will not be able to due to continuing cloudy days.
Glad I am not relying on solar power Rolling Eyes
Should look a bit like this:

Well yahoo I finally snagged C/2023 A3 Atlas)
Ran off a series of pics covering the  W to NW sky And managed to capture the comet several times.
Not good photo's. The comet is no longer naked eye visible. You might find it with powerful binocs if you are lucky  ( I could not see it with 20 x 70  binocs). It is nipping along at around 50kps and by tomorrow
it will be even more difficult to find because it is rapidly putting a lot of distance between us and it.
I used   a Pentax  K100 D with a promura 135mm f 1.8 lens Exp 2 sec
Sun had set approx 3/4 hr earlier and the comet azimuth was at approx 290 Deg and Alt near 20 Deg

Used a tripod for a change .
