Re: New Detector.
Me think according to Minelab that they have reached all tech and wont be having a new model of detector for many years.
And that its the end of the line for anything new.
A mate of mine whos a rep there says that if you want to nail the gold all the time best to buy an excavator and detect the ground taken out.
As long as its permitted tho.
Alot of full timers who are in it for the money do this they can buy machines that take massive and deep amounts of ground out and they spead it out and then detect over it.
its the only way now.
Machinerery is the next step.
There no models in the near future.
the lines froozen.
And the detector is just a tool.
Its hard work and patience thats the key for finding the gold.
Time on the ground.

Re: New Detector.
Tim, the use of any fuel powered equipment for the recovery of minerals fall under the Mining act of each state. Less the use of hand held tools for the digging up/excavation & extraction of minerals requires a mining permit.
The moment sales of detectors are seen to slow down to a crawl, Wala , the introduction of a new model detector appears out of nowhere.
Ah detector manufacturers are better than any Harry Houdini I've ever met.

Well a used Bobcat (not a biggun) will set you back around 28,000 dollars or maybe 150 bucks an hour to rent/hire.
If it is used then it will have age probs after app 2000 t0 4000 hours. So you need to know that the ground you are going to scrape will be productive. But yeah scrap n detect works well in good ground.
