New Minelab Detector
Hello Members.
I heard news tonight that Minelab are to release a new detector.
This was announced at a dealer conference today.
The detector is called the Vanquish, it's rumored to be a light-weight GPZ-7000, with less bells and whistles.
And at a cheaper price too!!!!
Cheers ozgold 041

Re: New Minelab Detector
Less bells & whistles for a cheaper price? Just what we needed, more cosmetic changes, with less advantages/depth capabilities than the GPZ 7000. Never throughout Minelabs history, has Minelab ever created a new series of detector, specifically designed for the detection of gold nuggets, cheaper & better than the model before? The Vanquish you say? Sounds like a Steven King horror flick. "The Vanquish" vanquishing all who use one. On the other hand, if it comes with a variety of coil sizes, might pay to look into one
Thanks for the update ozgold.

Hello Kon.
It now looks like that name was lost in translation.
A Minelab link says it is named Victory. Link = https://www.minelab.com/victoryunearthed?confirmed=1
Like I said earlier last year, they are supposed to have ironed out all previous bugs now, and there was talk of full discrimination at that time.
I think they were expecting a couple of new releases from the USA early this year, but this has been delayed so far.
So the next best thing is to beat them to the market, instead of trumping them after their release. (Competitive marketing??)
Cheers ozgold 041.

Re: New Minelab Detector
Victory? Well that sounds better than vanquished ozgold but, any Idea of whether its a PI/VLF &/or what type of detecting it is best designed for?
Not only doesn't that link go nowhere, but is designed specifically for tricking people into being subscribed or subscribing to their mailing list.
Desperate/tough times ahead for Minelab by the looks of it
Cheers Kon.

New Minelab
The new Minelab is an entry level version of the Equinox
It was mentioned in Codans report last Thursday
It’s price is around $600 AUD
Me thinks it will takeover the Xterra range
