Hangover after 2 drinks - is IT olde age or long covid ?
Any1 else having teenager style hangovers after a few drinks ?
I have always dunk a couple of litres of water mixed with home made cordial as Dr. wants me to take blood thinners & they mess around with my GI tract
Over the last 18+ months started to notice even two spirits leaves me feeling 2nd hand in the AM, interested to know if this is happening to any1 else ?
TIA

A full blood test would normally tell if all is well with your red blood cell count & are not low or in excess of any one thing associated with healthy blood cells according to age. If your sugar levels, cholesterol level & blood pressure are also good according to age, then I can only blame your hangovers to either to much consumption of any one spirit/liquors, or in that of mixing & consuming more than one type of spirits, intensifying the hangover effect.
Another point I should make, (from my own personal experiences) is stay away from the drinking of the cheaper brands of spirits, for that is one sure way of intensifying ones hangover the following morning.
Of course all the above info means little, if you constantly drink in moderation.

G'Day Kon
Thanks for the really prompt reply
I am being monitored very closely for the past 5 years after I developed AF which means I have a high heart rate 160-180 but have no side effects, no pain, no shortness of breath, nothing except a little sweating while sitting !!!
Long story short, I have confirmed with Dr. AF or meds ! causing 'Hangover' - I rarely drink maybe 1 x beer or 1 Black Russian or 2 x Baileys & Milk ( with the Boss ) at night once a month or once a quarter
This is only happening since I got covid , any1 else having 'strange' hangovers ?
BTW - I used to work on coal mines & would drink bottle of Bourbon / night , but that was ~40 years ago, so know my way around hangovers )

Understood, for there are some forms of prescribed medication that cause drowsiness, or even worse when mixed with alcohol, but, If your local doctor can't work out what the underlying health problem might be, you might need a referral to see some form of appropriate specialist, in the hope they may be better off in understanding what the causes of such that you're going through might be, together with any form of appropriate treatment if needed,(in way of medicines or diet) to get things back on track.
It's a difficult one to answer you on AU_Toe, but less the higher costs of seeing a specialist, you can't really go wrong with a second or third doctors opinion.
