A start to August.
It was another beautiful day out at Castlemaine today. A cloudless morning and mild temperatures.
Moredeep was the only one to join me today and by the time we had a break I had 2 pieces and Moredeep had one. The first piece surprised me as it was in soft clay instead of the usual hard clay. I expected it to be a pellet.
The second piece was sitting right on top of hard surface clay. Before I dug it I changed the settings of the 7000 to GENERAL, which is the middle setting for increased depth. It was still picked up but not as easy as HIGH YIELD. This piece was the smallest for the day, and almost my smallest piece.
After our break I managed to find one more piece. It was near the surface and gave a good signal. It was lodged between some of that ochre coloured decayed slate???? I think.
My 3 pieces weighed in at, 0.09 gram, 0.03 gram and 0.24 gram. 0.36 gram in total.
Good luck out there, Axtyr.

Good on you Axtyr, well done. As the saying goes, "nothing ventured, nothing gained".
