WOW!! the 6000 & the Impulse AQ must be soooo good and finding sooooo much gold n jewellery that there has been no time for any operator feedback Posts??
Or maybe they are both crap and the owners are too embarrassed to say anything etc.

Re: No posts since June 18
Is the 6000 noisy on hot ground, does it like hot rocks and emi. Is the ground balance top notch and smooth or is the machine chattery? or is it quiet and a real step up from the 5000. Does it punch deep or is it a hotted up up 2300??

Adrian the only way we'll know is over time with results. It certainly wasn't noisy to me.It felt similar to the 5000 with my 12"Evo actually but a whole lot lighter and pinpointing seemed easy on small targets.I do wonder about the long term durability though as we give our detectors a hard time.

Re: No posts since June 18
The main question to be asked here Adrian is, can the GPX 6000 pick up gold, over ground flogged to death in the past with just about all before it & the answer is quite obvious, yes it can. The rest can be regarded as minor detector adjustments, which best suit the needs of each individual.
As for the 6000's durability (like all new toys/tools on the market & as deutran says) only time will tell.
Cheers Kon
