I have both a 12x6" and 15x10" for my GPX.

As you would expect the bigger the coil is the less sensitive to small targets it is, so the 15x10" is a little less sensitive than the 12x6" to VERY small stuff but only ever so slightly as it's spiral wound where as the 12x6" is partial spiral wound. The 15x10" is obviously deeper on retaliative size targets being the bigger coil.

I guess if you're primarily hunting tiny gold the 12x6" would be the better choice, if you're not the 15x10" is the best choice.

The other thing is the size and shape, you have to decide which suits you best.

Thanks for the reply Phrunt. Much appreciated and confirms my "assumption".

Another question! I am currently running a 17x13 evo, be any advantage in the 15x10 coil? I believe they do run quietly.
