Newbie or oldbie??
Hi all,
I don't know if I can call myself a newbie or and oldbie, but hello anyway!
Used to go out detecting and panning/sluicing in my youth (mid 20's) but laid off it for many years. Anyway, I've started to get back into it now. Dusted out my old SD2100..... send off an email to Minelab to see what it needs to get up and running again (I assume at a minimum the battery has clagged it). Been out of the loop for many years, so I have no idea whether this detector still has it to go out bush. What do you reckon?
Anyway, some background - studied geology in my youth (don't do it now) and spent some time understanding the Victorian goldfields. Must say life looks a lot easier for gold prospecting (all the digital resources I see now you couldn't get unless you found some dusty library or storeroom!).
Happy to answer (as best I can) any geology questions. And to all the other members of the forum - big thanks, I've been a guest for a while and have learnt a lot from you all. Hopefully I can return the favour.
