Hey gc and Betina, great stuff mate That shows great restraint to me to have your partner beside you to unearth this monster. That is very fitting in my view, either that or by the huffing and puffing on vid you just needed to head home for a cold one, Only joking you pair will be watching with interest. my best wishes it is a monster A big congrats before you finish the find as like you have already said, gold as sure as shat.

Do you have any elite coils for the older machines mate.......I would love to see the difference between one of the old mono's and the newer ones.
The wife still has a 4500 and I am thinking about upgrading some coils.

How big.
It will be interesting to see how big this turns out to be. Pity he didn't turn the coil sideways, to not only give an idea of how much further he had to dig, but also to get a hint on the size . The signal does not seem to be broad enough to indicate a real big one, but it's tricky some times as the shape can throw you out. We shall see.

Re: Bit of luck with the 19" coil today
Pocket of iron encrusted calcrete grrrrrr
I was sure that was a deeper nugget, never heard it go off like that before,we couldnt get much out of the 45 with the other coils cause it wasnt fooling us,got down another foot and hit a solid pocket of calcrete,i went uh oh,have chased it before but never had a signal like that on it.

Bad luck Dave & BJ. Just be happy your out there lifting your heart rate occasionally, and not in some shitty city somewhere sloth like in front of the telly. Were you running the detector in "Normal" soil timing. "Normal" loves hot rocks damn it!

Re: Bit of luck with the 19" coil today
Wow mate! That does not help the 19 inch much hey.
It was a widish rising low tone and it sound good. You did the only thing you could do. No way anyone would walk away from that signal.
Now what do you do? There is a lot of hot calcrete out there.
Of course if ya had an Infinium it would have ID it for ya.

Re: Bit of luck with the 19" coil today
That's a bit of a bugger mate, but there is no way to walk away and not dig those sounds.
Seems like you need to strap the 4500 and elite to your backpack just for checking.
cheers dave
